- Audit -- Assure
the association's financial affairs are followed according to our by-laws.

- Budget -- Prepare an annual
budget for the association.
|
- Constitution and By-Laws -- Review
and update the association's constitution and by-laws.
|
- Continuing Education -- 1)Plan
and conduct continuing education seminars and conferences for members and others in the
field of public accounting; 2) gather and publish information reguarding the management of
a practice; and 3) collect, approve and record required continuing education hours for all
members of the association.

- Convention -- Plan and supervise
the annual convention for the members of the association. Select the physical
location and begin plans for the association's convention for the following years.
|
- Historian -- Accumulate and
publish a historical record of the association.
|
- Legislative -- Keep a watchful
eye on the legislative happenings in the state which could be harmful to the practice of
accounting by the members of our association.
|
- Liaison -- Maintain liaison with
the Internal Revenue Service, Kansas Department of Revenue, Office of the Secretary of
State and any other taxing agencies within the State of Kansas.
|
- Long Range Planning -- Develop
specific long-range goals and devise and recommend programs and procedures necessary to
accomplish the objectives of the association.
|
- Membership -- Identify
potential new members for the association, encourage their membership and be mindful of
the needs of members to ensure their retention. 1) Chapter
Coordination --Work for the forming of new chapters within the
state and assist thee existing chapter. 2) Life and Honorary
-- Present to the Board of Directors, for their review, individuals deemed
worthy of Life or Honorary Membership status.

- Member Services -- Aid
and better the association and its members in the following areas: 1) Member
Services and Assistance -- Create services for the association
members and assist the beneficiaries of a deceased practitioner or one who wishes to
retire and make all practitioners aware of the need for adequate preparation for the
disposition of his or her pracitce; 2) Technology --
Educate, heighten awareness and update the association and its members on technology
pertaining to the industry;3) Vendor -- Establish,
better and maintain vendor relations that are are for the improvement and prosperity of
the association and seek to provide members with the resources that are available to them
through various vendor suppliers

- Nominating -- Locate
and revise candidates for office and make nominations to the membership for the Board of
Directors and Officers.
|
- Professional Practice Standards and
Ethics -- Inform and educate our members on professional standards
with the goal of upgrading the quality of services provided to the public. Review
any alleged violations that are brought before the committee.
|
- Publications -- Compile
information for the association's newsletter and be directly responsible for any and all
printed material
|
- Public Relations -- Promote
the Public Accountans Association of Kansas, Inc. and improve the professional image of
its members.
|
- Scholarship -- Promote donations
to this fund to help accounting students in the State of Kansas with their education.
|
- Staff Advisory Review -- Advise
the Staff on a regular basis and review annually.
|
